Bought a firearm online or from an out-of-state seller? We receive it, run the paperwork, and hand it over once everything checks out.

Simple Process
How a Transfer Works
Most appointments take about 15 minutes once you are cleared to pick up.
Pick us at checkout. Buying online? Choose Iron Sights Firearms as your FFL dealer when the store asks, or send your seller our license info.
Ship it here. Have your seller ship the firearm to our FFL and send us the tracking. We log it the moment it arrives.
Book your time. Pick an appointment or give us a call, and bring a valid Maryland photo ID with your current address.
Finish on site. We complete the federal Form 4473 together, and the required background check runs: Maryland State Police review handgun purchases, and we run the NICS check for long guns. Once you are cleared and any waiting period has passed, you take it home.
What to bring
- A valid government-issued photo ID with your current address
- In Maryland: your HQL for a handgun purchase, and your 77R application filed through the State Police Licensing Portal for regulated firearms.
Background check delayed? It happens, and it isn't a denial — we'll store your firearm securely and contact you the moment it clears.

Can you receive a firearm I bought online?
Yes. Have the seller ship to our FFL and email us a copy of the tracking. We notify you when it arrives and complete the transfer once the required checks and any Maryland waiting period are done.
What do I need to bring for a transfer?
A valid government-issued photo ID with your current address. Maryland-specific requirements are covered during the transfer; we point you to the official forms rather than offering legal advice.
